Ulster Bank Announces the Opening of its New Branch and Business Centre on George's Quay in Dublin's City Centre

11th March 2008

Ulster Bank officially opened the doors of its new branch and business centre on George's Quay today. This opening is part of a major expansion of Ulster Bank Group's offices on Georges Quay and follows on from the recent successful opening of the new Ulster Bank premises at the Charlestown shopping centre in Finglas.

This George's Quay branch includes a dedicated business team servicing the needs of business customers in the local community. Through these new premises, the team including Branch Development Manager Ciarán Cummins and Commercial Managers Willie Kinsella, Ronan Barry and Sinead McManus, will be on hand to provide first class service to personal and business banking customers.

Speaking at the opening, Mike Bamber, Chief Executive, Ulster Bank Retail Markets said; "We are delighted to be opening the doors of our new facility here at our Georges Quay offices. We have spent the past few months upgrading and expanding our premises here on the quays and I am delighted that the culmination of this results in a new branch and business centre for city centre customers."

He added, "We have been at the forefront in delivering real competition in the market for some time now by offering innovative products across all areas from mortgages to current accounts. I wish all the teams the best of luck, I know they are looking forward to bringing the benefits of these products such as our Big Switch initiative* to our new customers in George's Quay."

Robert Gallagher, Chief Executive, Ulster Bank Corporate Markets commented; "This opening highlights the ongoing investment in our banking infrastructure and our commitment to supporting the growth and expansion of local businesses across Ireland. The team is looking forward to introducing local business customers to the award winning business banking service that we have to offer. I extend a warm welcome to businesses here in the city, both new and established, to come in and meet the team."

The new premises in George's Quay will bring the total number of branches on the Island of Ireland to 223 and the total number of business banking offices to 57.
