Senan Murphy appointed Group Finance Director of Ulster Bank Group

Ulster Bank Group has announced the appointment of Senan Murphy to the position of Group Finance Director, commencing in January 2008.

Senan will join Ulster Bank Group from Airtricity, where he has been Chief Financial Officer since 2003. Prior to joining Airtricity, he was with GE Capital for eight years, where he held a variety of leadership roles including Chief Financial Officer for GE Capital Vendor Financial Services, a $10 billion global mid market leasing business, and European Director of Strategic & Financial Planning for GE Capital Global Consumer Finance, one of the leading worldwide suppliers of consumer credit and insurance services.

He will join the Ulster Bank Executive Management Board as well as the Board of Directors of Ulster Bank Limited, Ulster Bank Ireland Limited and First Active plc.

Senan qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen and has a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin.

Senan will assume his position as Group Finance Director with Ulster Bank Group in January, 2008.

This appointment is subject to the usual regulatory approvals.
