Ulster Bank's New Private Business Under Starter's Orders Ulster Bank has appointed a new relationship team of 20 to provide a specialist banking service to Northern Ireland's high earners. The bank's new Private proposition is targeted at individuals earning more than 75,000 or couples earning over 100,000. It promises a highly personalised service as well as access to a range of added-value products and services.*

Speaking at the launch of Private at a corporate event at Down Royal racecourse Ulster Bank's Managing Director of Private Banking, Michael McKavanagh, said: "Northern Ireland has experienced significant economic growth in the past 10 years which has led to a larger number of high-earning executives, professionals, and entrepreneurs."

"We believe in providing the highest levels of service to customers and our Private offering is tailored so that this particular group of customers gets the service they are looking for, which is more important than ever in the current climate. They have told us they want us to make banking easier for them and that's exactly what Ulster Bank Private will do. We've recruited and trained a top quality team of relationship managers based in key towns and cities across Northern Ireland supported by a dedicated team in Belfast to ensure we can meet the specific needs of these customers." Mr McKavanagh adds.

Ulster Bank Private is available from 6th October.

  • Relationship Manager service - team of Relationship Managers based in branches and business centres across NI supported by team of Relationship Assistants.
  • Two Private current accounts- a standard account and an enhanced packaged account. The products will offer a range of features such as:
    • A new 'Private' branded cheque book and debit card
    • A package of benefits - financial/lifestyle/protection
    • Overdraft facility
  • Private telephony service offering customers enhanced services remotely.
