NI students offered stylish digs and tidy finances

A new initiative is offering Northern Ireland students the chance to have stylish digs and tidy finances. Students who take out an Ulster Bank student account before October 10 could win a 500 IKEA makeover, complete with individual home style advice from an IKEA expert, as well as a market-leading current account package and discounts with leading retailers.

In addition to the chance to glam their gaff by winning one of two 500 IKEA vouchers and home makeover advice, the Ulster Bank package is offering students a 2,000 interest-free overdraft, a Maestro debit card, free foreign exchange*, mobile phone banking and a range of extra discounts and incentives with leading retailers such as Urban Outfitters.

Ulster Bank student banking expert, Laura Wells, says that with the initiative offering students the chance to have stylish digs and tidy finances, staying out of the red is set to be the new black.

Students tend not to have a huge amount of money at their disposal, so its important that they manage what they do have well. In addition to providing them with the means to keep control of their finances and the flexibility to pay for things when they need to, were delighted to be able to add value by offering students the chance to win a 500 expert IKEA makeover as well as other discounts with top retailers, Ms Wells says.

Living costs are on the rise, so students will appreciate being offered greater control of their cash and the means to save money in a variety of ways, she adds.
