New Ulster Bank mortgage initiative offers Ikea design solutions
31st Oct 2007
With just over a month to go until retail furniture giant IKEA opens the doors of its first store on the island of Ireland at Holywood Exchange, Belfast, Ulster Bank has unveiled a special IKEA themed mortgage switcher package which promises to give Northern Ireland homeowners a 250 IKEA Gift Card as well as help them save much needed cash which could be invested in a range of home improvement options.
The initiative, which runs until 30th November applies to Ulster Bank's full range of mortgage products and is available to new customers who are planning to re-mortgage their home or customers signing up for a brand new mortgage deal. The bank is also offering a refund up to 300 in legal costs to qualifying homeowners who switch during the initiative and a full refund on valuation fees.
Ulster Bank head of mortgages, Derek Wilson commented, Like IKEA Ulster Bank aims to provide customers with excellent value for money and our IKEA offer is the latest in a line of innovative packages we have introduced on a regular basis to help galvanise the local mortgage market.
Mr Wilson added, This is what Ulster Bank is all about offering products which suit all our customers needs. And with affordability remaining such a fundamental issue, it has never been more important to make sure you are getting the best mortgage deal from your existing lender.
We believe our initiative sits comfortably with IKEAs manifesto for 2008, Home is the most important place in the world as we seek to enable home owners to free up some cash to spruce up their homes as well as giving them 250 to spend in the new IKEA Belfast store when it opens on 13th December.
Paul Reid, IKEA Belfast store manager said, Were delighted that Ulster Bank has chosen IKEA Gift Cards to back their current mortgage initiative and customers who avail of the offer will be able to choose from over 9,500 products all offering cutting edge design and style at excellent value prices.
We know from our recent Home Truths survey that Northern Ireland is deemed the most homely place to live in the UK with 79% of those surveyed feeling satisfied with their home in general and 41% likely to socialise at home, the highest percentage in the UK. Locally we are extremely proud of our homes and take pride in how we furnish and decorate them.
Therefore any mortgage initiative which helps customers improve and revitalise their homes is to be welcomed.
