Sponsorship
Sponsorship plays an essential role in the Ulster Bank Communications Programme...
Our aim is to reinforce our existing brand and to demonstrate our commitment to the growth and development of Sport, the Arts, Business and Entrepreneurship across the island of Ireland. Our Sponsorship programmes provide the Ulster Bank with a clear communications platform from which to articulate our intent and ambition to become the number one bank on the Island of Ireland.
Sports
GAA Senior Football Championship
In 2008 Ulster Bank became an official sponsor of the GAA Football All Ireland Senior Championship.
The GAA (Gaelic Games Association) is the most sought after sports sponsorships available in Ireland; it's also an excellent vehicle for us to articulate our ambition to our customers of becoming the number one bank on the Island of Ireland. The GAA Football sponsorship now offers us an opportunity to reach a wider sporting community with membership of the GAA currently running at 750,000.
The RBS 6 Nations
Our parent company The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has been sponsoring the 6 Nations tournament since 2003, helping to establish the Championship as the highlight of the northern hemisphere rugby season. Ulster Bank has been proud to use the sponsorship to further promote this high profile tournament and our national team throughout the four provinces of Ireland for players, fans and customers alike. The Competition attracts a huge following and the 2009 season promises to be as gripping as ever.
We also support the following sporting initiatives:
- Ulster Vocational GAA
- Irish Cricket union
- Burney Hockey League
- Irish Wheelchair Rugby team - Gaelic Warriors
