Climate change has rightly swept to the top of the political, business and consumer agenda in recent years. It's an issue no business can afford to ignore.

Energy reduction

We set energy reduction targets for all our properties. We monitor our use of electricity, gas, waste, water, paper and travel. We work with staff and suppliers to reduce our carbon footprint at every opportunity.

Along with other major Irish banks, we support the Climate Change Principles, a voluntary undertaking by the Irish banking industry to tackle climate change.

Earth Hour

Now an annual event, Earth Hour calls on households and businesses to switch off non-essential lights for one hour.

Ulster Bank has supported Earth Hour since it began in 2007.
