Inver, a town located near Killybegs in south west Donegal, applied for the award to help their Co-op develop a sustainable community garden. The project will use the experience of local farmers and fishermen, together with community workers, to teach children from local primary schools about sustainable fishing and vegetable growing, Their goal is to establish a thriving farmers market in the town.
Klawitter Theatre Group Ltd is based in Bray Co Wicklow and employs 7 staff who bring interactive theatre to residential care homes in Ireland. Funding will be used to extend their services to Northern Ireland. Performances combine storytelling, poetry and a variety of music from different eras. Script writers draw their storylines from the experiences of the audience which makes each show all the more personal and relevant.
