Charitable giving at Ulster Bank

Charitable giving is very much part of our culture at Ulster Bank. We do not focus on one single charity of the year, preferring to provide ongoing support to many charities and good causes through our Payroll Giving Schemes and our Community Cashback Award programme.

Payroll Giving Schemes

We currently run two schemes for our employees to avail of, each of which matches their monthly donations, effectively doubling the amount received by the charity organisation.

Staff Charity Fund

Our employees can choose to donate from their salary each month to the Ulster Bank Staff Charity Funds. These are registered charities managed by voluntary employee committees. All donations are collated and then distributed by the committee on a quarterly basis.

Give As You Earn

Another option for our employees is to donate directly to the charity of their choice while again having their contribution matched by Ulster Bank.

Community Cashback awards

We like to support our employees involved in fundraising and volunteering activities outside of work hours by providing a financial award through our Community Cashback scheme which allows staff to apply for a donation for the charity or cause they have chosen to help.
